Longaevitas Health

Legal

Longaevitas Health is a technology platform for doctor-led personalised preventative care and longevity planning. These documents set out how the platform works, how your data is handled, and the medicolegal boundaries of the service.

Version v3 · Effective 19 August 2026

1. What Longaevitas Health is

Longaevitas Health (Pty) Ltd operates a wellness and screening platform for doctor-led personalised preventative care and longevity planning. It is not a medical scheme, scheme administrator or healthcare broker, and it does not provide or guarantee medical scheme cover. The platform combines self-reported health assessments, body metrics, and biomarker results, and presents them through a VitaPrint, system scores, and Vita (your longevity co-pilot).

Longaevitas Health is not a hospital, clinic, emergency service or healthcare provider. The platform provides a structured workflow; clinical decisions sit with a supervising HPCSA-registered doctor and, ultimately, with your own treating GP or specialist.

2. Wellness proxy, not a diagnosis

Your VitaPrint, system scores, biomarker context, personalised plan and Vita responses are wellness and educational proxies. They are not a medical diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan, or a doctor-patient relationship with the platform itself.

  • System scores are directional wellness proxies calculated from your self-reported answers and results.
  • Biomarker interpretations are educational context guided by doctor-developed protocols.
  • Vita responses are educational only and drawn from doctor-developed content and your own data.
  • Where the platform describes screening, screening means risk stratification: identifying where your results sit against longevity reference ranges and flagging what warrants attention. It is not diagnosis, does not confirm or exclude any condition, and does not replace diagnostic testing or examination by your own GP or specialist.

3. Doctor-led workflow, doctor-owned decisions

Your VitaPrint Analysis is doctor-led. Longaevitas doctors define the clinical rules, longevity reference ranges and protocols that generate each analysis, and an HPCSA-registered doctor takes professional responsibility for the clinical content released to you under their own professional judgement and professional indemnity. Longaevitas Health does not practise medicine and does not override clinical decisions made by that doctor or by your own GP.

Two release paths apply, and they differ in whether a doctor opens your analysis individually before release. Where no body metric or biomarker falls into the abnormal band and no safety flag is raised, your analysis may be released automatically under those doctor-set protocols, in the name of the clinical head of your allocated care team, without that doctor reading it first. A random sample of these releases, currently at least one in ten, is reviewed afterwards by that clinical head for clinical quality. Where any result falls into the abnormal band, or an escalation, adverse event or referral flag is raised, a supervising doctor personally reviews and signs your analysis before it is released.

You may ask for individual review by a Longaevitas doctor of any analysis or automated output at any time by escalating a question to a doctor in Ask Vita in your member portal. Each VitaPrint cycle includes a free doctor escalation, so this costs you nothing. Clinical questions are handled through Ask Vita and not by email.

Referrals, prescriptions, diagnosis and treatment remain the responsibility of a treating clinician. The platform surfaces GP referral suggestions only when configured to do so by the supervising doctor and, in the case of biomarkers, only when results fall into the abnormal band.

3A. Asynchronous, non-face-to-face care

Longaevitas Health operates asynchronously. Your measurements, assessment answers and biomarker results are analysed against protocols set by HPCSA-registered doctors, and a doctor signs off the resulting written VitaPrint Analysis and plan in their own time. There is no physical examination, no real-time consultation and no continuous monitoring, and the platform is not staffed outside ordinary working hours.

This model has real limits. A doctor working from written information alone cannot examine you, cannot observe signs that only appear in person, and relies entirely on the accuracy and completeness of what you and the laboratory provide. Conditions that need examination, imaging, or in-person assessment fall outside what this platform can do, and a supervising doctor may decline to comment and refer you to in-person care instead.

Supervising doctors practise under HPCSA registration and the HPCSA telemedicine and ethical guidelines, and each remains individually accountable for their own clinical work and indemnity. Their registration category and number are available on request from support@longaevitashealth.com.

3B. Scope of practice

What the platform and its supervising doctors do: review your submitted measurements and results, interpret them against doctor-developed protocols, produce a VitaPrint Analysis, and issue a personalised preventative care and longevity plan covering nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, screening and supplement education.

What they do not do: diagnose disease, prescribe or dispense medication, treat acute illness, manage chronic disease, provide mental-health crisis support, sell or ship supplements, order follow-up imaging or specialist procedures, or take over any part of the care your own GP or specialist provides.

3C. Escalation of abnormal results

Where a biomarker falls into the abnormal band, the platform flags it for the supervising doctor and raises a GP referral suggestion. The supervising doctor reviews the flag and may issue a referral letter for you to take to your own GP or specialist. Results in the suboptimal band do not trigger a referral; they are handled as educational context in your plan.

Escalation happens within the platform's ordinary working-hours review window and is not immediate. It is not a substitute for emergency care, and the platform does not contact your GP, your family, or emergency services on your behalf. If a result concerns you, or if you develop symptoms while waiting for review, seek in-person medical care without waiting for the platform.

You remain responsible for acting on a referral. Longaevitas Health cannot compel a consultation, cannot book one for you, and is not liable for harm arising from a referral you choose not to act on.

3D. Doctor questions as advanced triage

A doctor question is answered asynchronously, in writing, within ordinary business hours. It is not a consultation, not an appointment and not a live chat, and it is not monitored outside business hours or in an emergency.

What the doctor gives you is a differential impression: the most likely explanations for what you describe, based only on what you have written, the photographs you attach, and the measurements already in your VitaPrint. A differential impression is not a diagnosis. It is not made on examination, and it does not confirm or exclude any condition.

Within that scope the doctor will check for red flags, tell you how urgently you should be seen, and where needed issue a referral letter for your own GP or specialist setting out what should be considered next. Doctors on the platform do not prescribe or change medication, do not issue sick notes, medical certificates or disability paperwork, do not order imaging or specialist procedures, and do not take over the management of a condition your own clinician is treating.

Each question allows up to three doctor replies. Photographs may be added until the doctor sends their first reply, up to the limit shown in the question. Once the replies are used up, or the question is closed, you may open a new question, or, where an examination is needed, see your own GP or specialist. If what you describe needs urgent attention, do not wait for a written reply: contact your nearest emergency service.

3E. Supplement recommendations

Supplements recommended in your plan are doctor-led wellness recommendations, not prescriptions. Longaevitas Health does not compound, dispense, sell or ship any product. Where a product is shown, it is bought from and shipped by a third-party retailer under that retailer's own terms, and the products are complementary health products rather than registered medicines.

Whether you take a recommended supplement is your own decision. You may decline any or all of your stack, and the rest of your plan still stands. Nothing in your plan is conditional on buying a product from anyone.

Our review of your medication list, allergies and history for possible interactions is educational and based only on what you told us. It is not a pharmacological or dispensing review, and it cannot account for products, doses or medicines you have not disclosed. Before starting anything new, confirm suitability with your own doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking chronic or prescribed medication, living with kidney or liver disease, undergoing cancer treatment, preparing for surgery, or considering a product for a child.

Follow the label and do not exceed the dose shown. If you experience any reaction you believe is related to a recommended supplement, stop taking it, seek advice from your own doctor or pharmacist, and report it to support@longaevitashealth.com so a supervising doctor can review and update your plan. Subject to section 6, Longaevitas Health is not liable for harm arising from a product you chose to take, from an undisclosed medication or condition, or from a defect in a product supplied by a third-party retailer or manufacturer.

4. What you must still do yourself

  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with your own GP or specialist for diagnosis, treatment and prescriptions.
  • Seek urgent, in-person medical care for any symptom that could indicate an emergency.
  • Never delay, avoid or change medical treatment based on anything you read on the platform.
  • Give accurate information; personalised outputs are only as reliable as the answers and results you provide.

5. Emergencies

The platform is not an emergency service and is not monitored in real time. In an emergency, contact your nearest emergency service immediately (in South Africa, dial 10177 for ambulance or 112 from a mobile phone).

5A. How Vita learns from member trends

Vita is the platform assistant. To keep its educational content current, Longaevitas analyses de-identified trends across the member community, including changes in assessment answers, body metrics, biomarker values, and outcomes following supplement or plan recommendations. Cohort-level insights produced from this analysis inform what Vita may surface and what doctor-led practitioners may consider.

Cohort insights are educational, not clinical. They do not diagnose, prescribe or override the judgement of a supervising doctor or your own treating clinician. Direct identifiers are removed before your information is used for cohort learning, and no individual member is identifiable in the aggregated results. Longaevitas does not sell your information and does not use it to train third-party artificial intelligence models.

Cohort learning is on by default. Members may opt out at any time from Account > Privacy. Opting out excludes future data from cohort learning and has no effect on the doctor-led care they receive.

6. Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and other applicable South African law, Longaevitas Health is not liable for loss or harm arising from reliance on educational outputs of the platform, from clinical decisions made by a supervising doctor or your own treating clinician, or from your failure to seek independent medical care where indicated.

7. Regulation and complaints

Longaevitas doctors are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa ("HPCSA") and are bound by the HPCSA ethical rules, including those governing telemedicine and asynchronous care. Longaevitas Health (Pty) Ltd is the platform operator and is not itself a registered healthcare practitioner.

Step 1, raise it with us. Send any complaint, clinical or otherwise, to support@longaevitashealth.com with your name, the cycle or analysis concerned, and what went wrong. We acknowledge within 5 business days.

Step 2, clinical review. Complaints involving clinical judgement, the content of a VitaPrint Analysis, a referral decision or a doctor's conduct are referred to a clinical head who was not involved in your care. You receive a written outcome within 30 business days, or an explanation of the delay and a revised date. Where a complaint suggests a possible adverse event, it is logged and reviewed through our clinical quality process.

Step 3, independent escalation. You do not have to exhaust our internal process first, and nothing here limits your rights. You may lodge a complaint about a practitioner directly with the HPCSA (Legal and Regulatory Affairs, PO Box 205, Pretoria 0001, legalmed@hpcsa.co.za, www.hpcsa.co.za). Complaints about privacy or personal information may go to the Information Regulator (South Africa) as set out in our Privacy Policy. Complaints about the commercial transaction may go to the National Consumer Commission.

We do not penalise, suspend or refuse service to a member because they have lodged a complaint.

8. Changes to these terms

Medicolegal terms are versioned. Material changes are notified in-app and take effect on the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

This page is drafted for South African law (National Health Act 61 of 2003, HPCSA ethical rules, POPIA, ECTA and the Consumer Protection Act). The current version is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice.
